You made false accusations based on nonsense.

I made 2 opinions that I was asked to expand upon

I did

No emotion involved. Just purely reason based observations.

I have been accused by you of hijacking thread into a wormhole because i attempted to justify my opinion in response to the individuals who dont share my opinion.

I have accused of suggesting leg breaking tackles are ok.

I never have and never will.

I have been accused of trying to make Jack out to be an appreciated thread. which again is utter bollocks.

i repeat my two contentious points

1 i didnt think gg penalty shout was a penalty (just my opinion)
2 I dont like still photographs isolated as being criteria for condemning a player as deliberate thug.

point 2 doesnt mean i think he didnt do those evil leg breaking tackles, im just hilighting id like to see the video footage if they exist before i condmn the dude. No idea the source of those images which are horrendous on their own if they are in context.

We all agree that you can't rely only on still photos - but just you keep arguing thst point. There is this wonderful new invention called television where people can actually watch videos of these incidents when the match was being played so we can make up our minds. I am not your fecking butler so don't tell me to spoonfeed you information.

Why bother showing you videos anyway as you see something completely different to everyone else (which is your right) and you have already stated that the tv companies have video experts doing their jiggery pokery on them to favour sevco.

So for the sanity of everyone else, like many others, I will put you on ignore. It is a shame as you offer some great insights when you discuss tactics. Have a good life. HH

is reference to to our supporters who claim to be socialist football fans and open to different viewpoints but in reality promote distorted hate campaigns with limited evidence and ad hominem attacks based on distorted baseless claims.

Btw you were never stazi bridie in my eyes always loved your football talk although you do specialise in unsourced still photos.

Don't mean to interfere, but I feel that a good friend has been misrepresented.

I am in the fortunate position of having known and corresponded with big T over a number of years and through two Celtic sites.

I have also had the extremely good fortune of having met the big fella in the flesh along with two other regular contributors to the site. I can assure you all (as I'm sure can those other two members) that T is a gentle, intelligent, articulate and extremely polite fellow.

Very pleasant company. Very engaging, but also willing to listen and absorb other points of views and considerations.

I know I've used this analogy on several occasions, but many of the disagreements thst we have on this site that then leave a permanent digital mark, would have floated off into the ether and be forgotten about after 5 minutes if we were all sat in the boozers together.

The written word doesn't allow us to gauge the tone, timber and cadence of the conversation and we certainly can't establish how serious someone may be just be interpreting written remarks.

There's no secret that I am a friend of T and it was no secret that oor Michael was extremely fond of the big man and that they would often have conversations long into the night about a varied and wide range of subjects.

I certainly don't agree with all of T's points of view and perspectives, but in terms of the man himself - I have yet to meet many finer or more generous of their time.

Now everyone is entitled to use this forum in what ever agenda suits them, but attacks upon their character I believe are totally out of order imo.
Many subjects are discussed or commented upon, that I personally couldn't give 2 hoots about, but wouldn't dream upon attacking their character just because it didn't suit myself.
I use this forum to help my own obsession with Celtic and how much I tend to let that obsession impact my life emotionally, so has been a great relief to help my life become more manageable.
As I said before feel free to attack myself if that's not to your liking.
Not going to pretend and say it's easy to debate issues with yourself, in fact the opposite as at times you tend to be bit of a master of spin.
Actually admire your stance upon defending yourself upon your views, even if I think you might want to lure members into the controversial issues then ready to pounce with an attack upon them and follow up with playing the victim?
I have made a stance in the defence of starfelt as a player, where as it seems he is possibly our most disliked player at present and I don't actually understand that myself but so be it.
There may well be a few just waiting for the starfelt mistake in costing us, just to give myself loads, again so be it.
However I would like to think I could handle such a situation that I hope never arises without making personal attacks upon there character in my own defence, yet there are no guarantees.
Even with your personal attacks upon dill and the BB 's and offering you the chance to attack myself in your defence on your controversial views, still won't be placing you on ignore and not going to engage upon personal attacks with yourself either.
No stranger to having my disagreements with members in the past and with yourself included, but also don't agree with making personal attacks upon people if they don't like what I state either, easier said than done in my own case also.
But sorry TET, I believe that you overstepped the mark of acceptability here and one that wasn't warranted imo.

Methinks you might be over-reacting a teensy bit.
You have diverse and varied views based on your own life experience and research. Others beg to differ.
We must all strive to play the ball not the person and adopt a more mature attitude to views which don't align with our own.
I have had a lot of work to do in this regard but with the absence of alcohol from my life I believe I'm making progress.
 
Looks like I chose the best week to have wee break down in beautiful Bath ? All kiddin' aside, and with no intention of taking sides, I feel a wee touch of sadness, and bewilderment, at the fact we can't agree to disagree, and move on sometimes. One of the reasons I feel The Noise is different from most other sites, is the fact that we seemed to be able to respect the opinions of our fellow noisers, even if we don't / can't agree with them.
Probably come as a surprise to most of you good folk, but I'm normally not that interested in any form of social media. I much prefer to have a face to face when discussing/debating anything; much easier to gauge the feelings of those involved. Also has a significant effect on my manner when replying. It's only too easy to conjure up the wrong perception of the person sitting at his/her keyboard somewhere in cyberspace, trying as best they can to articulate their point. Perhaps therein lies the problem ? Sometimes it can look as though we're trying to score points, as opposed to putting our point across. I think The Noise is better than that.
