Celtic need to find a reliable spot kick taker

Having already missed 5 opportunities out of 12 this season the statistics look rather embarassing

The penalty miss against Motherwell at Fir Park back in December cost us 2 points so by association if it had been converted we'd be looking at only 3 more points to clinch the Title as we have a superior goal difference and things could have been wrapped up before the split at home in front of our own fans on Saturday

We need a reliable almost ever present to take over SPOT KICK taking duties and I'd nominate CalMac

Bloody hate when they do that "staggered " run up, make your mind up pick your spot and hammer it, if goalie guesses correct chances are the power will beat him anyway.

Our set-pieces as a whole aren't the greatest. There's a lack of goals from corners and free-kicks and we're missing out on at least 15 goals a season by failing to capitalise on this.

Time for Lenny to set aside a couple of hours to work on penalties, an 80% success rate is the minimum requirement.

I've always wanted my strikers to hit pens, however out of our current squad I would like to see Ajer belt a few in, although Eddie is the main man.

Oh our goals from corners, set pieces conversion rate must be one of the worst. What are the staff doing at LT in training this must be addressed

Agree, one of the few exceptions who could do it effectively was Robbie Keane.
Great player in his day but not over impressed when we signed a semi-retired Keane.

Think the zombies signed defoe looking at Keane (who was younger when he came to us and a better striker in his prime) stats for us.

I don't know how many of his goals for Celtic were penalties but a good few of them were.

Anyways, yes if you have not got that skill to fool and nerve to do it, why don't they just make a decision where and hit it low and hard.

Very rarely? We have scored directly from only one in over 200 attempts. Our shy’s are a fucking farce also. Nobody moves into space and we take an age to throw it.

Set pieces are absolutely dire for the most part. The odd screamer aside, they achieve fuck all. Especially corners. If you need to get another beer, wait until we win a corner. No Fucking chance of missing a goal. I missed our winning goal on Sunday by trying to hold in an 8 can pish too long and going to the loo. My reaction was one of delight but tinged with swearing like fuck I had drank so much that another ten seconds would have resulted in me pissing the couch.
