Leipzig v Celtic - All comments here

Far too open need to tighten right up. Torn apart again. We are not ready for Europe. Can see us struggling through the league now.Teams know how to play against us now as proven by ST Mirren and Motherwell. Angeball dead?

Wi ccv oot, I don’t hold oot much hope for us, defence looks dodgy when he’s not there, hart is having a drop in form too, with an inexperienced centre half pairing, I fear the worst

My hearts says 1-1 but in reality 3-1 🤷‍♂️

Called it correctly back at the start of the thread, 3-1, inexperienced centre half pairing and a goalkeeper aff form…..🤷‍♂️

The relief from Leipzig says it all, what a full strength Celtic can do is quite an exciting thought.
I disagree with Lambert Leipzig are a very decent side and one of Germany's top clubs. We were up against it before ko .
2 home games to come.
That were still in with a shout of 2nd or 3rd after Madrid and 2 away games has to be seen as progress, imagine us in this group under lenny pre-ange?
That's a frightening thought

We got what we deserved
We are not a CL team
Our passing at times was woeful
Brain cramp from Hart and we go from celebrating their goal being chalked off, within a minute to 2-1 down
They strolled it and we are not in the same league
Nkunku, some player
Had it 1-1 on the predictor but our midfield was non existent against them tonight
Could easily have been a bigger loss
Don't forget the carved us open all game, and had two goals chalked off
Hate when we don't show up, even with CCV and Carl Starfelt out, but we're out of our depth at the top table
Imagine what Manchester City would have done to us, or PSG
We lost, we move on

I’m not going to be too harsh on them tonight
A lot of criticism aimed at usual suspects but they were our best players in the park
Our problem is that the ball doesn’t stick up front for long enough. Maeda wins you be a throw in or a corner and now and again does something decent
Kyogo, wee guys up against 2 constantly
Jota great finish but offered little else
Over the course of 3 games it should have been so much better
Naivety has cost us so far

Disagree winter. Lot of players let themselves down tonight IMO.
If we lost 3-1 and the players all played to their potential I'd say ok....Leipzig are a level up....but if the players played to their potential I don't believe we would have lost 3-1. Hart mistake was unforgivable for their 2nd.....and, well, I've already listed who believe should have been better above.
We've shown how we can perform at this level and tonight wasn't anywhere near....with or without CCV
Well we can agree to disagree, up until we equalised I thought this game could go either way.
We were always going to have to weather the storm.
We dont have players experienced at this level.
They have that in abundance.
Aye some played beneath their potential no arguments there, but this isnt our first XI.
Harts blunder unforgivable but also made some top saves.
Think we have to be realistic about the side we fielded and what we expect of them

Beaten by the better team. Had plenty of chances, as did they, their forwards more clinical than ours. Losing McGregor, a brainfart from Hart and Nkunku the difference. Hart in fairness saved us on many occasions and the way we play the keeper giving the ball away there will always happened very occasionally.
VAR our MOTM;). Welsh played well, better than Jenz, Taylor was very good again. No one particularly bad but we need to get our better players involved more often. Worryingly we again looked gassed after 60 mins and the substitutes coming on in the midfield are too big a drop in quality to keep us going for the full 90 at this level. Abilgaard looked good at breaking play up but doesn't move the ball quickly enough, hopefully just rustiness having not played for a few months.
Will be tough next week as they look great on the counter attack, but they look as suspect as us in defence.

Hopefully this naivety will eventually be dropped, with experience stg, losing calmac came at a brutal time as well.
We had plenty opportunities tonight but we are lacking in quality when we lose key players

Should we get into a blazing argument now and I'll leave for a few weeks or will I just leave and skip the argument!!

Think we need to remember they're at full strength were miles away from full strength.
Losing calmac hurt us.
Asking an awful lot from this side missing our defensive stalwarts.
No cover for central defence, always going to be under pressure away V anyone.
Realistically Welsh would be nowhere near the starting XI, Jenz is cover.
Lots of positives to take , would rather have a go than play anti football no disgrace here tonight.
Players are out on their feet
Much of what you say is absolutely true Winter, and yes, I think it would've been more of a contest if all our first picks were fit. Got to say though, if I'm being honest, we were well gubbed tonight. Without doubt, we have made real progress. But we still have a fair bit to go.
Lookin' forward to playin' them in Paradise. Think that should answer a few questions

Oh they deserved the points theres no arguing against that Frank.
I'm just not prepared to stick the proverbial knife into such an inexperienced side lacking key players away from home in the champions league
