A legend announced his retirement today.
Without doubt, THE most successful player in the Scottish game for decades.
He will be remembered as a fantastic captain, maintaining a level of performance which quite frankly I think is unrivalled.
He also did this whilst several managers came and went, and team line ups changed.
A fantastic servant, who in any other country, would be getting plaudits from all quarters for what he has given the game here, but as we all know, we are a land of narrow minded bigots, so he won’t.
Thank you Broony for your loyalty and commitment over many years.
I wish you great things going forward, and who knows…maybe you’ll come home one day, in some guise or another.
A club legend, nothing less, nothing more.

I must admit, I thought he was finished in 2015 in the Ronnie Delia era when he was pictured pissed sitting in the gutter eating pizza after being in a lap dancing bar in Edinburgh, not conduct becoming of a Celtic captain, but fair play to him, Rodgers gave him a good talking too and turned him into the player he had the potential to be…..

Love the one in the huddle, where he’s going at the team In full flow, would have love to know what he’s saying

The Aberdeen one where his double fouled and gets the ball kicked at him, and he bounced straight back up, sticks oot his chest, does a wee gallus strut, and says “is that yir best ya Fanny’s”
