Guys let me say that my being here on the Noise has always given me a great diversion from general day to day life. A finer bunch you'll never meet.
However today in the early hours my wife passed away after a long illness. My best ever friend. My everything. Still in shock but I thought I would share with the people who I've found great comfort to be a part of.
Remember to cherish every day of our lives.
We have no idea when the big man will call our number.

Aw mate, heartbroken for you, the women/ men in our life’s are everything, I had a wee scare, a couple of weeks ago, when the wife phoned me at work saying she was struggling to breathe and having chest pains, I thought my world was caving in, she’s out hospital and ok now,

I hope you have a good family around you to comfort you in your darkest hours, remember we aw here if you need to chat and let it out,

This is the hardest part of being involved in a group such as this. It's in the knowing that, at some point or another, good people are going to have to encounter the very worst experiences imaginable and there's little we can do to help them.

I don't have the words that will make things better for you, Stevie. The fact is, is that there is nothing that any of us can say or do that is going to ease your pain and loss today, or for the foreseeable future.

What I do know is, is that in the aftermath of losing Michael, your efforts displayed a humanity and kindness which will never be forgotten. I hope I/we can repay that kindness and ease your burden in some way in the time to come.

I wish you strength and courage, Stevie. There are things that have to be done for your beloved now that require strong heart and all of your energy. I wish your family strength and courage too. Be mournful and grieve as you have to, but I also know that you will remember her well and cherish that time and those memories that you were both blessed to have shared together.

I'm so sorry for your loss and, if you don't mind, I'll pay a wee visit to the Chapel and pray for both of you.
