Rules around attending matches.

Vaccinated people do NOT carry a stronger variant!
I said I'd read this but couldnt confirm but if I come across the WHO piece gain BB I'll post it for you. If its false and fake news then it's another example of scaremongering imo anyway to those yet to take the vaccine and the government have no legal basis to make people take this vaccine , just to be clear I myself am double vaxed I'm pointing out that there are many , too many indescrepencies

I didnt say that his opinion was verbatim but it is interesting to hear what one of the worlds leading thinkers thoughts are on the matter. Also I believe that it's got nothing to do with every country in the world getting on and reaching agreements. My son is currently working in Dublin and in the south they dont even have enough of the vaccine that they are miles behind. Two tier systems are being created not just for events but in the western world . How can scotland fully vax almost 4 million and Eire cannot even get the vaccine to use to single dose folk yet ? This is because the have countries have bought millions of the stuff leaving 1st world countries in their wake , in other words a free for all 2st come first served and thats very wrong. Still a piece of paper will save us all
The South of Ireland are around 90 % vaccinated according to the statistics.

But are all these statistics true ? We know what were told and that means trusting the government which I don't Ireland may have caught up now but they had to go and buy elsewhere as the astra zenica was already taken. I believe from what I've read of the republic that they went fuk this and bought from Belgium instead

Isn't it a worry that the government, who we know we can't trust, have turned this into a vaxxer, anti-vaxxer debate, and now the general public are each others throat. Same with religion, same with race. They do it all the time.
I'm not vaccinated yet...I will be eventually...only because my little girl is taking part in a competition in Spain next year and I wouldn't miss it. I dont fully trust the vaccination. I AM NOT AN ANTI-VAXXER. We have friends suffering from clots in their hands and other areas. We have friends who have lost a family member only because of the vaccination and no other reason...so whether people want to believe it or admit it or not....we are all test subjects to a drug that we have no idea of the potential damage. Try telling my friend who lost her uncle or my friend who sat in hospital with his partner all night thinking she was dying with a stroke due to the jab that "Aye, but covid might a killed you anyway"...its for this reason I think it should he a choice left to the person having the vaccination. That is not the case. People can say its a choice but they are toeing the political party line. Get the jab or don't have a life. Get the jab or give up everything you love and enjoy. Not really a choice at all in my eyes. People are being forced into a corner and doing something they don't want to do. People are genuinely, and I mean genuinely terrified of what might happen to them if they get an untested, untried drug pumped into their system and all they are told is "shut up anti-vaxxer and get on it for the good of the human race."....I think thats sad.
This is very sad news lubo and I agree with you 100 % we are at the mercy of the government and their figures which include folk whove reported their test results more than once as theybe tested more than once I dont and never have trusted the govt figures anyway. I see civil rights being trampled on for this experiment and the VP wont help matters if anything it will agitate things and further fuel the fire. I'm fully vaxed but I'm not fully protected because the experimental drug doesnt work that way

You put that a lot better than could have Lubo,go with the evidence of your own eyes from your own experience from what you see around you, I wouldn’t say I’m antivax either but I’m pro choice and pro freedom and there not much of either left.

It's the rules regardless. Get immunised or you won't get to see the Bhoys live. Simples.

If got a feeling Stevie that Covid is going to hit a lot of people hard during the Winter months....:(
My wife, one of those never ill super healthy immune to everything types, caught Covid thru her work with the NHS.
She was extremely ill and at one point I thought she was a goner, she fought thru it and 18 months later is still here thankfully, but she continues to pay a heavy price on a daily basis, heart issues, breathing issues, particularly bad joint pain. I myself tested positive for it soon after she did, I also was pretty ill with it, but seem to have come out of it much better that she did.
I have a near neighbour who died from it.
This virus is real.
I hope no blogger on here ever gets it nor any of your dearest.
The vaccine is the only true way to protect yourself and others and hopefully eradicate it completely.
As long as vast swathes of people remain unvaccinated, it gives the virus an opportunity to spread and mutate, which in turn makes it more deadly and increases the risk for those who have vaccinated of catching it regardless.
I understand the personal choice bit, but when it comes to your health, your life, and that of others you love or work with, its hardly a big ask is it?

It's the rules regardless. Get immunised or you won't get to see the Bhoys live. Simples.
Not really simple stevie...simple to say...not to do. Obey the rules and completely ignore people's fears is never that simple...."no dogs, no blacks, no irish".....obey the rules. Simples. No blacks at the front of the bus....obey the rules....simples. Jews wear stars to mark you out....simples. Just because a government make these rules doesn't make it simple and it doesn't take away people's fears. People are getting ill with the vaccine. People are dying with the vaccine. People are still catching covid with the vaccine. Have the vaccine, that scares the life out of you, or stay locked in your house away from the things you love is not a simple choice...... But...everyone has an opinion on it. What's simple to some is not to others.

I had a conversation with my daughter while sitting on our seats in Paradise before kick off on Saturday. As some of you may know, she's a consultant at one of Scotland's busiest hospitals. She rhymed off the statistics covering the number of deaths amongst those who have not had the jab against those who have taken it. I'm not going to try to repeat those stats, even if it's just in the interest of being honest with you good folk. In truth I can't remember the exact figures. The survival rate amongst those who had the jab was overwhelmingly high as opposed to those who hadn't.
The vaccine doesn't give you immunity, but it absolutely does mean the chances of survival are very much in your favour. It also means less pressure on our already overworked health service.
Also, to say we're being forced into taking it is a myth. We have a choice. The contentious part seems to be whether we should still be allowed to socialise if unprotected, well, speaking only for myself, I would be prepared to accept that I had to obey the rules and adhere to the restrictions. Also, to say it's politically motivated is simply not true. The whole thing is driven by medical science.

But now there deaths among the vaccinated now aswell

You're correct Cairnsybhoy, but more often than not there have been parallel health issues. I think you and I have been over the course with this debate, and I fully respect your right to hold your opinion. But the balance in favour of vaccination is actually overwhelming. As I say though, we have a choice. We make our decisions for better or worse. Those decisions are personal choices, which I absolutely defend. However, where I draw the line is when we think we don't have a duty to obey the rules. Even if we disagree with them.

Sorry to hear that mate.....I hope she recovers through time.....

I say it is that simple Lubo. Do you fancy a trip to Dundee with a ticket and no proof of immunisation to get turned away?

The rules are simple I agree. That's why I pointed out rules of the past that were simple to follow. What's not simple is forcing people to do something they don't want to do in order to follow those rules. People's fears are genuine. Unfortunately in a world where rumours and fake news rule, their fears are amplified....so I'm sad for the life long celtic fan who can't go see celtic at Dundee because the government have told him that unless he gets a jab that terrifies him then he can't go see his club. People who have been jabbed catch and spread covid.....but they are apparently safe. So why stop a person that hasn't been jabbed going to matches. If that person catches covid it's their own fault...they know the risks...the jabbed people will be fine...apparently....so not sure what the problem is.
