The big man ,saying Europe not good enough under BR,??????? On Thursday I mentioned how we ,under Jock Stein, had a go in Europe, football has changed dramatically since then ,and I suppose we can’t really compare now,the finance,for one, seems more top players are now appearing in European clubs ,down south ,more top European players in English clubs, !!!!!! As has been said many times , up here we are playing dross,no disrespect,but the truth nonetheless,the finance is needed,no doubt about that,the money for tv rights ,a joke, both sky, bt, bbc, whoever’s paying !!!!!! Our first game v Valencia, we let ourselves down badly, yet IF we had taken our chance on Thursday, it may well have been different,suppose it is just go into a new campaign and try again, hh
 
I think we all realise that we can't compete with the Real Madrids and their like in European competitions. The financial disparity between us and other countries is enormous and we could never afford a team worthy of going any distance in the CL or EL.

Things may change in the future when the whole SKY bubble bursts as customers find other ways of viewing their football and clubs won't have multi-million pound players at their disposal.

Knowing it's not a level playing field currently makes the defeats we have suffered in Europe bearable as we strive to reach the giddy heights of Lisbon and even Seville.

Sutton trying to be relevant again, Celtic no use in Europe and don't send your kid to Scottish university because i am your dad and people will pick up on that, what a lot of shite.
English clubs been blown away in Europe and Scottish people more clued up in politics and social behaviour more than ever, we do not live in bubbles up here.

I do like big Sutty and he will have a permanent place in my heart for how he honoured the jersey, but he's slipping down this populist road and showing obvious signs of ignorance and neglect.

Scotland was way ahead of the curve politically, unfortunately our hunger for independence has seen us become less radicalised and we are exhibiting the fear which has always held us back.

Sutty got a free education here on the dangers of ignorance, he shouldn't forget the lesson so quickly. Taking a wage is one thing, taking the pish is another thing altogether.

We know our limitations, we also know our ambitions are not quite being fulfilled as we should be capable of competing with many teams we have faltered against recently.

Sutty is preaching to the converted there, but he is also stating the bleeding obvious.

As for education, I'd rather run the gauntlet at UoS than end up like bozo boris, pignorant pig-sticker cameron, bloodlust blair, theresa mayhem and the endlessly arrogant hordes that graduate from the oxbridge fucklights!

Come back into the light, Chris.......we've not fully abandoned hope yet!

We teach our children through culture and learning, i have sons and daughters who would not dream of going elsewhere for an education and for Sutton has he gave the same advice to his brother still plying his trade up here and no doubt enjoying the night life without the fear of thats right I am CS wee brother.
Even the BR story all it is innocence in the sense that he cannot be annoyed with the hass le if spotted always one moron he would be aware of in his learnings and culture. Why would you want to stick a big celtic icon in the middle of that, like a red rag to a bull. But it turns into media frenzy aliens ate my burger story.

If we complain its not a level playing field in Europe because of Finance,
How can we then have a go at the other Scottish teams for complaining about it not being a level playing field because of Finance.

Know where you are coming from Jinxy, but they are not our problem ,And if the truth be told they are doing nothing to boost our co-efficiency?it is left mostly to us,ok, maybe sevco at this moment,but remember in the ‘old days’ Dundee Utd, Aberdeen ,Kilmarnock,the ‘other teams’did make a mark, but, that was then !remember well the jinky ‘match’ v real, in Madrid,maybe will will get back to some ‘consistency ‘we need euro money!!!!!!!!!! to survive and to make Europe,like I said earlier ,there is always next time,MAYBE ,that will come sooner rather than later, always believed European run was good for us ,hh

Without trying to get into an argument but if they are not our problem (other Scottish teams) how then are we a problem for European teams (level money split) I know European football is fixed in favour of the so called big leagues but we should be able to do something about that with other European teams in the same position as us. Now I can't see anyway we can help out other Scottish teams without hurting ourselves. The point is for them to catch up with us not for us to drop to there level. How that is done is the big question, that is way above my thinking grade.
 
I work in the Education system and hear bigotry/racism comments
frequently aimed at kids who support a certain team and are from another
culture.
I can see were CS is coming from regarding school( as he played for Celtic) university comment is a bit puzzling mmm.

Firstly let me qualify everything I'm about to say by saying I'm currently banjaxed. I agree with the big cunt yet again. We are punching below our weight in Europe and it really has to improve. Lessons learned yadiyadiya. I blame the the manager.

I like Sutton and to be fair on Thursday he said they turned up and were counted.

He was talking over the euro campaign and he’s right.

He has also questioned other teams.

I do think its that english arrogance and he is allowing others to show part of his interviews taking out the most controversial bit only.

They did do well on Thursday but the week before was a howler.
