Agreed imatim, also think we should all remember that if were being honest with ourselves , we're a season ahead of schedule.
Whilst of course I'm hoping for a positive outcome and progression even through 3rd place from the group.
In reality this is a feeler European campaign, if that makes sense.
To hold us in better stead for next season where if we can keep this group together we will be a far stronger proposition than now.
What we've done so far has been commendable, putting it lightly.
For if we come through this group it would surely have to rank highly amongst Celtic achievements.
The experience gained from this season's European campaign for the likes of young Welsh, Abada, Jota, and many more is something that money cannot buy, its invaluable.
We have experienced international players like Haksabanovic who had never played at this level.
Only Hart, Calmac, Forrest and Ralston ( possibly JJ but not sure of that) have any experience of playing at the highest level of club football.
It would be extraordinary should we progress , it really would.
So while we aim high I am still realistic and have the SPFL as our main goal.
Aquitting ourselves well will be a good marker of how far weve come.
We are of course rank outsiders to progress and that suits us fine.
Ultimately we cannot take our eye off the big prize , the Scottish title and straight back into the group stages of next season's champions league where we will be far more prepared for what lies ahead.
This has to be the priority for us this season.
Its today the excitement is really kicking in, we are facing a stronger Leipzig than theRangers faced last season as they have Timo Werner, flopped at Chelsea but we know hes quality.
We have a habit of delivering the result no one thought possible and that's still to come, I'm sure we'll see it yet.
Weve produced results with Celtic side's not as strong as this one.
May tonight be one of them
