Celtic v Raith Rovers - League Cup Quarter Final Thursday 23 September, Kick-off 7.45pm - all comments here

Give a bit of credit to Raith Rovers, they held out well with 10 men.

Like with livingstone, they didn't have to do much to hold out. We passed the ball in front of them. When we went wide we couldn't cross it with any danger. Our final pass was straight into their defenders legs. We very rarely made any sort of movement that could create space and the game died a death when we brought on 4 defensive minded players. It was very very easy for raith. A wins a win but that was a game that could have been used as a confidence boost. I personally thought it was very poor.

Have we got ourselves a left back in Scales.

Thought he gave a good account of himself looked handy on the ball aswell I thought Turnbull was taking easy option all the time then he scores thats why he's so frustrating cause we know he can play better but for me he loses the ball far too much still....don't know why we never gave the Greek a run out whys he on bench if he's not match ready??? thats a strange one tbh but over all job done some nice play from our team at times after all the negativity its a nicely timed comfy win HH

Still seems as if there is a bit of sharpness missing from our play a lot of passes not finding their targets. Turnball sometimes dwells a bit as if he isn't sure what pass to make Ajeti has to pull defenders out of position moving about instead of standing between them Starfelt still looks uncomfortable
